Offseason Head Coaching Fiasco

Well, where to even begin with this utterly disappointing, drama filled, winless season thus far? How about before the season even started, when General Manager Jeff Ireland interviewed Stanford University head coach Jim Harbaugh for the same position. At that time Tony Sparano was still the head coach of the Dolphins. This obviously raised a lot of eyebrows within the organization and had to be demoralizing for coach Sparano. Yet Ireland was not able to hire Harbaugh, who instead accepted the 49ers head coaching position and his team is now 6-1 on the year. So sure enough Sparano was brought back and team owner Stephen Ross added "Sparano is the perfect man for the job." As difficult and frustrating as it was for Sparano, it also put a tarnished image on both Ireland and Ross who both admitted they would have done things differently, now. As the NFL season is now at its midpoint the Dolphins currently have an 0-7 record and unfortunately for Sparano his job will almost certainly be up for grabs either later this season or in the offseason.
